It should be pretty obvious that my point is that we don’t know how desperate they are for food. We know how much food they need since we know how much food a human needs. It doesn’t matter what they used to be okay with, because they’ve clearly changed in the time sense (hence their war with the NCR). But regardless, we know that this Brotherhood, in their current form, have made a specific practice of seizing them and attempting to keep them away from outsiders. I guess we don’t even know for sure if it strictly forbids trading energy weapons. We don’t know much about the Codex, how it was developed, or anything of that sort. It's the Codex that talks about selling energy weapons given they been doing it since their inception. As for why the BoS would be opposed to selling non-energy weapons, that’s my point. Nothing about some Brotherhood scribes posing as traders using this road should arouse suspicion unless they’re just really really stupid about it, which they wouldn’t be.įair enough about her calling energy weapons guns too. The deathclaws and Powder Gangers are both very recent problems in the area, not the norm. And somehow nobody notices thisĪside from the odd scorpion, Hidden Valley connects pretty safely to Vegas up north, and I-15 and Highway 95 to the West and South. Then marching back with all that through the same hostile mountainous terrain. We also don’t know how much they had starting out, if they’re already short on food or if they’re just taking preemptive measures. We have no idea how much food the individual scribes are buying, or how frequently they’re buying it. Using that money to buy a hundred+ pounds of food per day These are the same nutcases who rigged their bunker to explode just to keep their technology out of enemy hands. It is very unlikely that they would be supplying their enemies with energy weapons. In 2281, the Hidden Valley chapter are characterized as hardline adherents to tradition and the Codex, even to a fault. I don’t care what different chapters of the Brotherhood did 40+ years ago under very different circumstances. What do you mean "the way she talks about them"? She only has one line on the subject, and nothing about it implies that they are trading energy weapons. Nothing suggests that it’s normal guns… except for Veronica literally calling them guns. To sell weapons (nothing suggests it's normal guns, especially given the way she talks about them, and it wasn't normal guns in the other games) We encourage all users to post sources, including and not limited to both Fallout Wikis.Īnd while you are at may as well give the subreddit that inspired this one some love: Please report irrelevant posts and comments to the Moderators.
